Teaching high school physics

I've seen high school physics from every angle

Twelve years teaching in high school and community college classrooms, and 18+ years tutoring students one at a time. I write the AP Physics 1, AP Physics C, and Honors Physics curricula that other teachers deliver, and I mentor first-year physics teachers.

Sound familiar?

I missed a lot of class.

My teacher just gives out worksheets.

I have never studied physics before.

I am self-learning physics this year.

You're not alone, and you're not stuck. No matter your situation I am confident that I can help you succeed in physics.

What families say

Scott was awesome he taught me more in a couple weeks than my real teacher all year.

Salvatore M.

Chicago, IL · Student

My son's problem is that he cannot see the whole picture of the subject and how topics are related to each other. On the first lesson Scott gave him a complete overview and went through all the formulas + how they can be grouped based on what they calculate.

Irina Z.

Tampa Bay, FL · Parent

Scott really helped my son prepare for an honors physics final exam. He was able to walk him through review sheets and go over broader concepts. As a result, my son felt confident and prepared for the exam.

Lenore A.

Never makes you feel like you are not smart and always treats you with respect.

Madi K.

Glen Ellyn, IL · Student

I wish I had started with Scott from the beginning of the school year. He is great at explaining concepts and is extremely responsive and has given me many questions that I can work on my own to reinforce my understanding.

Aria T.

The Bahamas · Student

Scott is a great physics tutor! My son was amazed at how Scott was able to make difficult concepts seem simple. Thanks to Scott, my son feels prepared for his next test.
